75% - Number of African American males who failed to graduate from Pinellas County Schools in 2005.

52 - Number of Florida counties with a higher student minority membership, yet 21 of these have higher graduation rates. 

30 - Number of Florida counties with a higher free/reduced lunch rate than Pinellas, yet 41 of those counties had a higher graduation rate in 2007. 

35 – Of the nation’s 50 largest school districts, the number that have better graduation rates than Pinellas.

69% - Percent of students performing below grade level in reading in 2006-07.

35% - Pinellas County high schools receiving a “D” grade in 2008.
